Neon, palm trees and dirty money. Start with $250 in a motel room and take over a 1980s coastal city, one district at a time.
Empire of Vice is an open-world crime game in a fictional Miami-style city at the end of the '80s. Drive down Ocean Drive at sunset with the radio up, run jobs for the Bellini family or betray them for Los Reyes, and turn stolen cars, back-room deals and street wars into an empire.
It's arcade first: fast cars, loud guns and a police force that hunts you in earnest. No grind, no microtransactions: just the city and what you make of it.
Everything below is playable today. It's a beta: expect rough edges, and tell us about them.
The old city, Midtown's towers, the harbor, Coral Heights' villas and a beach with a marina. Day and night, rain and neon.
Work your way up, then pick a side: stay loyal to Marco or sell him out to Hector. Two endings, then a second act against a cartel.
Take all eight districts from four families. Your turf pays tribute, arms you from a stash and keeps the locals quiet. Then defend it.
Cruisers, bikes, roadblocks and a helicopter. Break their line of sight and slip out of the search zone, or get busted.
Eight cars, three motorcycles, speedboats, jet skis and a helicopter. Steal it, ram with it, race it, export it.
Punch combos, handgun, SMG, shotgun, assault rifle and grenades. Hire bodyguards for the big fights.
Buy clubs, a warehouse, a penthouse. Smuggle contraband by boat, take contracts, upgrade your cars.
Street, alley, boat and helicopter races, taxi fares, courier runs, stunt jumps and twelve lost tapes to find.
Synthwave, night drive and Italo disco, with DJs, made-up ads and news about what you've been up to.
Straight from the game, no touch-ups.
Free. Unzip and play: no installer, no account.

Every race, every rampage and the longest stunt jump, from everyone playing the beta. Set your name in the game (the pause menu's Leaderboards page or Settings), type it below and your rows light up.
This is a beta, and the most useful thing you can do is play it and tell us what felt off: where you got bored, lost, stuck, or where it crashed. Every build so far has changed because of feedback like that.
